Best Golf Driving Tips – The Simple Swing

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

The best golf driving tip that I can give you is to keep your swing very simple. You will manage to hit the ball much further and straighter at the same time instead of hitting it into rough or the woods.

I used to think that hitting the ball as hard as possible was the way to go. Trust me, it isn’t. For instance, if you were to hit the ball 250 yards but into the woods, your golf score will be huge. You have to learn to hit with accuracy.

How would you like to become the golfer that once was a bogey golfer, transformed into a lower handicap golfer? I know that you are thinking that this is impossible, but if you learn a simple swing that you can repeat again and again while striking the ball.

I actually used to hit only 200 yards, but sometimes I hit over 270 yards and straight !

What makes a simple swing so powerful? It is the consistent swing that transfers the power to the ball at impact. Instead of focusing on transferring all of you power to ball, you have to focus in on cork screwing your body to generate lots of power and then releasing it. Your stance and the way that you follow through will do the rest of the work for you.

There are exercises that you can perform that you guide you towards making your swing consistent. I used a step by step system because it made sense for me personally. I needed guidance to show me exactly how to swing in such a way that I would be able to repeat the same swing over and over.

The Components of the Golf Swing

Monday, January 18th, 2010

After you have worked on your golf grip, I suggest that you follow the following golf driving tips that I have gathered for you. I know that they might seem too simple, but they are important.

1) The Golf Swing Downswing :

It is important to keep the correct golf swing tempo throughout the swing, especially during the downswing. If you do this correctly, you will be building up lots of speed that will be transferred to the golf ball once the golf club makes contact with it.

2) Maintain a straight club face at contact :

You have to try to envision the club contacting the ball squarely, or a golf hook or a golf slice will occur. I used to have major problems with this because it is easier on the body to allow the club to turn to the right at impact. Nevertheless, your body will get used to the strange sensation and you will then be able to play better golf.

3) Pick a target on the ground that is in the line that you once to maintain :

Yes, you do have to aim the golf  ball :) Place the wood on the ground squarely and with good alignment to the spot on the ground that you have selected that is in the target line. Then raise to club from the ground until the ball is aligned with the sweet spot on the golf club.

4) Follow through of the golf swing :

Never rush the follow through by trying to peek at the ball after impact. If you have followed the above steps, your ball will go towards the target. Looking at it while it is flying through the air is not going to change its flight path.

A Few Simple Golf Driving Tips

Monday, January 18th, 2010

I had searched high and low for some golf driving tips when I was having major problems with my drive. It makes it difficult to improve your golf swing by taking tips from everyone that is around you. In other words, a bandage solution is the worst type of golf tip that you can receive.

You have to develop a simple golf swing in order to improve your golf drive for good. Get back to the basic swing. It will feel strange at first because you will actually have to untrain yourself to swing the golf club differently.

First of all, work on your grip until you are comfortable with it. It is the foundation to every good golf swing. I prefer the interlocking grip myself.

Then work on the different components of the golf swing. Plus, remember that a good golf swing tempo will ensure that you hit the golf ball squarely and with power.
